Book tour: Oxford Companion to the Economics of South Africa

The Oxford Companion to the Economics of South Africa, which brings together 52 entries by leading economists from within and working on South Africa, was released earlier this year. The book provides a unique perspective on the last two decades, including the challenges faced by South Africa as it moves to translate political freedom into economic prosperity and inclusion. The Companion book tour will take place during the second week of August in East London, Pretoria, Polokwane, KwaDlangezwa and Johannesburg. Each event is envisioned as a seminar, highlighting a core theme of the book and featuring author presentations based on their relevant chapters, as well as a brief input and some reflections from one or more of the editors.
